CCAF launches new online resource for Public Performance Experts

CCAF is always on the lookout for ways to help members improve on public performance reporting in Canada and its new Public Performance Reporting website is the latest example of how CCAF is serving its members.

CCAF launched its Public Performance Reporting program in the late 1990s to assist CCAF members, governments and other public sector institutions enhance public performance reporting across Canada by undertaking research and bringing together experts who could then exchange best practices. It has now created a website Public Performance Reporting website to further help its members.

“The website is part of CCAF’s efforts to improve the use and usability of public performance reports (PPRs) in Canada. We see the site growing over time and benefiting from the continued input of our members. This input will help guide us in adding new content and features,” explained Geoff Dubrow, Director of Capacity Development at CCAF.

Currently, the site already features a robust collection of background knowledge:

  • A definition of public performance reporting;
  • A history of Canada’s public performance reporting tradition;
  • Background on CCAF’s Program for Improved Public Performance Reporting; and
  • Access to key CCAF research documents;
  • A discussion of the challenges to the broader adoption of PPRs;
  • Extensive Canadian and international documentation on public performance reporting.

Initially, the site will serve as a jumping off point for researchers interested in PPR. Overtime, it will grow into the pre-eminent source of knowledge on public performance reporting in Canada. The CCAF is seeking input from its members on additional topics and features they would find useful. Please email your comments and suggestions to info@ccaf-fcvi.com.

Some features will include a monthly newsletter on PPR-related issues of importance to CCAF members and a glossary of terms and links to current information.

CCAF — a key resource for its members — conducts research that help its members develop practical solutions, serves as a neutral forum where the key players can discuss and agree on solutions for improving performance management regimes, and serves as a platform for sharing best practices.
